Get Help

In case of emergency shelter needs, please contact our dedicated hotline at 402-721-3125. Our compassionate team will guide you through a series of questions to gain a thorough understanding of your situation. Subsequently, our diligent desk staff will promptly inform a case manager, who will assess and determine access to emergency shelter based on availability.

As part of our standard procedures, all adults seeking shelter must consent to a warrant check and a Nebraska Sex Offender Registry Check before entering. If an active warrant is identified, we are obligated to report your presence in our facility. Individuals on the Nebraska Sex Offender Registry will be supported in exploring alternative shelter options.

We welcome walk-ins and extend the same procedural care to ensure that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, receives the necessary assistance and support in a timely manner.

The public-accessible food pantry, situated at 549 N H Street in Fremont, offers its services on Tuesdays from 10 am to 2 pm, Wednesdays from 4 pm to 6 pm, and Thursdays from 5 pm to 7 pm. In cases of emergency, access is available outside the regular hours.

While not mandatory, presenting a photo ID and a recent piece of mail (within the last thirty days) with your home address is appreciated when utilizing the food pantry. Care Corps’ LifeHouse’s standard procedure involves providing your household with a food box every thirty days, along with two additional boxes throughout the year. In unforeseen circumstances, emergency food boxes are available as needed.

During your visit, you will be asked to provide some demographic information, including names, birth dates, genders, addresses, phone numbers, races, and ethnicities of all household members. If you prefer not to answer these questions, alternative arrangements can be made to ensure your comfort and accessibility.
