Care Corps’ LifeHouse is committed to addressing the fundamental needs of individuals and families in our community. We do this by working to assure those we serve have safe, stable housing, nutritious food, and clothing items. While working to meet these basic needs, we work to empower individuals and families through internal and external resources that promote self-sufficiency.
Care Corps’ LifeHouse provides shelter, homeless prevention services, as well as five supportive housing programs. In addition, we own and operate ten 2- bedroom and five 3-bedroom apartments for families with income up to 30% of AMI. We provide wrap around case management services and life skills in all of our programs. We also provide food security to the community through our food pantry as well as operate a thrift store, Thriftology, which is open to the public for shopping and offers vouchers for those needing clothing, housewares, or hygiene items at no cost to the household.
Care Corps’ LifeHouse is governed by a Board of Directors made up of distinguished community members, including individuals who have practical lived experience. The non-profit is led by a CEO, followed by a COO and a Financial Coordinator. The emergency shelter and prevention team consists of Case Managers, a Life Skills & Workforce Development Coordinator, and shelter staff who serve as security 24-hours a day. The Food Pantry and Thriftology each have staff members. Lastly, there is a Property Manager who dedicates his time to the LifeHouse Apartments. Volunteers at each location are a vital part of our team.
